Renzo Nucara is the founder member of Cracking Art together with other artists. The Group is composed of Angi, Kicco, Nucara, Sweetlove and Veronese and is well known in Italy and abroad for its installations of recyclable plastic big animals located in passageways such as streets, squares or shopping centres. Cracking Art animals are still present in many exhibitions of contemporary art and in various museums all over the world.
On his individual creative works, Renzo Nucara reflects the Cracking philosophy by combining it with the peculiarity of his artistic career. His bestiary is inspired by Cracking Art even though it has expanded to include other animals. Consistently, Nucara’s choice to prefer plexiglas and the use of laser cutting to shape materials is not accidental.
